Writing for Trail magazine
If mountains are your passion and you’re interested in writing for Britain’s best-selling hillwalking magazine, then we’d love to hear from you. We’re always looking for new contributors who can bring fresh ideas, destinations and voices to Trail.

Trail magazine staff
Oli Reed, editor

Oli’s back for his second spell at Trail, this time as editor, because he can’t get enough of the magazine and the UK mountains. He’s walked and scrambled everywhere from the Dales and Dartmoor to the Cuillin Ridge and the Alps, but he’s never happier than peak-and-pub-bagging in the Lakes. Please get in touch with any general Trail magazine enquires and anything relating to the Mountains for the Mind campaign.

Jenna Maryniak, deputy editor

Jenna, Trail’s comfort-loving deputy editor, has been in love with the mountains since climbing The Old Man of Coniston 15 years ago and the Lake District is still her favourite place in the world! Please get in touch with anything relating to feature articles, routes, and the Everest Anywhere challenge.

Ben Weeks, senior writer

Ben is an article writer, gear reviewer, photographer, climbing wall instructor and mountain leader with a particular fondness for scrambling in pointy rocky places (would move to the Dolomites if his wife would let him). Please get in touch with anything relating to gear reviews, new exciting products our readers need to know about, and the Trail 100 hill-bagging list.
