Patagonia, A Love Affair: An evening with Leo Dickinson and Eric Jones
On 17 September we host an evening with award winning mountaineering filmmaker Leo Dickinson. As well as sharing personal stories and images from his filmmaking adventures in Patagonia, Leo will discuss mountaineering controversies covered in several of his films. Leo will be joined on stage by epic storyteller Eric Jones, most well-known for the first British solo ascent of the North Face of the Eiger.
Huw Jack Brassington, The Brit Rock Film Tour, and Jenny Graham
As a taste of what else is to come, on 22 October, adventure athlete Huw Jack Brassington will be screening his film Ar Gefn Y Ddraig (Riding the Dragon), and exploring how he would like to look back on his life in his unfiltered talk, Old Man in the Chair. On 19 November Alastair Lee returns to present the Brit Rock Film Tour 2019, and on December 10 we end the year with world record breaking Jenny Graham, Riding Around the World in 124 Days.
We're proud to have such a strong line-up. Find out more about the speakers and films at the Buxton Adventure Festival website. Tickets are on sale online now, or you can buy on the day from the Pavillion Arts Centre which opens 1 hour before each session starts.
