Sprayway Spectre

This jacket is ideally suited to hillwalking. Two-layer Gore-Tex provides the waterproofing and breathability without feeling overly technical and crunchy. When it’s warm there are a couple of large underarm vents to draw away the heat. The cut is quite short but there’s a drop tail to cover your bum. The two waist pockets are long enough to reach over a rucksack waistband. There is a pocket for OS maps in the front, that has cleverly been moved slightly lower than you would expect on a men’s jacket for comfort reasons. It also has a great hood – with wire-reinforced peak and single-hand adjustment – that rolls away when not in use. The collar is quite high too, with a fleecy layer to bury your face in when the weather’s bad.
