The Sprayway Jnr Mountain Jacket is a popular kids’ jacket that benefits from a rollaway hood, with a volume adjuster and face drawcords so the fit can be fine-tuned. There is a mesh lining for added comfort and the front zip gets an double external stormflap to keep out rain. There are zipped pockets at the hip and chest, while Velcro adjustable cuffs and hem drawcord keep out draughts. But the Sprayway Jnr Mountain Jacket’s hood peak is rather big and floppy, so check this does not obscure vision before buying. Some other jackets are lighter and lower in price.

The Sprayway Jnr Mountain Jacket is a superb jacket as long as the hood peak does not obscure the child’s vision.
