Rab Latok Alpine 2008

Designed as a summer Alpine jacket, the Rab Latok Alpine is also at home in the British mountains, thanks to its use of great fabric and functional features. It is very light, and the eVent fabric is top of the league for waterproofness and breathability. The design is very simple with just two large chest pockets that can easily be accessed while wearing a rucksack. You get mesh pockets inside the jacket too. The cuffs are Velcro-adjustable and there is a hem drawcord for locking out draughts. The hood can be rolled to the collar and secured in place. On the hood the hood is excellent with a stiffened peak that shields the eyes well, coupled with good movement with the head. This jacket is also a little longer than some. A great all-rounder for mountaineers in particular. But there are lower-priced options than the Rab Latok Alpine out there of course, but for what you get this is a reasonable price. The front zip and pocket zips do not get external stormflaps, so in the worst of driving rain I would not like to guarantee that those zips would not leak. Other jackets have more pockets and pit zips too.
