Marmot Precip (children's)

This waterproof jacket is a well-proven classis that has always been highly rated by Trail. The child’s Precip is a simple yet very effective design. The material is a good-quality fabric with a high level of waterproofness, so it should remain waterproof longer than other fabrics. There is no loose mesh inside, which could be seen as an advantage if your child tends to get entangled in such things. The design is very water-resistant thanks to a double stormflap over the front zip and a single stormflap over the pocket zips. There are two large chest pockets, elasticated cuffs and an elasticated hood. You also get a strip of reflective piping, which enables the wearer to be seen during evening walks. A useful final touch is a name and address panel so the jacket can be traced if lost. But the hood cannot be rolled away and the hem does not get any adjustment and neither do the cuffs except for elastication. So if the jacket does not fit perfectly it is going to be difficult to keep draughts out. The fabric feels a little more rustly than some and as there is no mesh lining, it may not feel as comfy.
