If you’re only going to buy one soft shell, you won’t go far wrong with this. It’s a little on the heavy side, but it’s warm and snug with a fleece lining and soft outer fabric. It’s also got a lovely high collar to bury your face into in bad weather. Sizes are smaller than average and the body is quite short. Fleece-lined pockets allow a flow of air, and Velcro-adjustable cuffs easily pull up to the elbows or tighten round the wrist. A drawcord hem means you can be certain of getting a snug fit to trap warmth. More importantly, though, the Polartec Windbloc fabric is very breathable, and will keep you dry in a light shower. A great looking jacket with a technical appearance.
