Berghaus Deluge (2013)

The Berghaus Deluge is a competitively priced overtrouser with a good set of features to make hillwalking comfortable. The AQ2 fabric is a ripstop nylon with a polyurethane coating for waterproofness and breathability, while a loose lining ensures they are not too clammy. The side zip extends to the hips so it is extremely easy to whip these on and off between showers, and this zip is protected by a double external stormflap to help prevent leaks. The waist has elastication and a drawcord, and the general fit is relatively close for a lower-priced trouser.

Berghaus Deluge trousers are the best choice for hillwalking in our review.
