These were quite a nice surprise – a pair of trousers with a technical climbing/walking look befitting of more expensive models. The off-coloured knee patches may not be to everybody’s taste, but they do add more movement to the legs, helping with bending and hill-climbs. They could do with being a little more reinforced however, as they do seem to be even more stretchy than the regular fabric, although this is only really noticeable if you end up kneeling on wet grass or rocks. What lets these down ever so slightly (compared to more expensive options) is the noise. They definitely have more of a rustle than any others tested. Also the fabric is slightly less breathable than some and feels less comfortable against the skin after a few miles. But on the whole, a strong option.
