The Craghoppers Nosilife Cargo Shorts’ nylon fabric feels tough and durable, and it is fast-drying, making it excellent for those who want to wear shorts during rain showers. But the real benefit of this fabric is that it is treated with Nosilife to keep the biting bugs away. This is a permanent insect repellent so it won’t wash out over time. The waist is elasticated too and although there is no belt supplied you can add one as there are belt loops, so these shorts should fit pretty well. The lower pocket is great for guidebooks and takes an OS map if you don’t close the flap. This also has an elasticated pocket inside that is ideal for a mobile phone or GPS unit. The hip pockets also take an OS map and there is a huge zipped security pocket. There is even a dry-bag inside one pocket. The rear pockets are massive too, and again you can slip a map into them while walking. But there is no stretch in the Craghoppers Nosilife Cargo Shorts’ fabric and there is no crotch panel, and while on me these still fitted well and did not restrict movement some people may benefit from those extra features. A brushed lining in the waist would make them even better. So not quite perfect for everyone but still pretty good.

The insect-repelling fabric and great pockets make the Craghoppers Nosilife Cargo Shorts a very practical pair of walking shorts.
