The Pasch PU is described as a one-person tent by Nordisk, but it is marketed in the UK as a lightweight two-person tent for events such as the Original Mountain Marathon (OMM). So it is pretty lightweight at 1930g, but there is a nylon version – the Pasch Si – that is only 1740g, if your priority is weight. It pitches inner-first with two poles creating the tunnel design, over which the flysheet is placed and clipped in place with adjustable webbing buckles. The edges of the fly hug the ground, making this great for wet and windy campsites. There are mesh vents on the outer at the front and foot of the tent, but you cannot open the top of the outer door for extra venting, which is a pity. The porch is pretty small, even for one person, and for two you are probably going to have to leave a rucksack outside the tent, as once you get two people inside the Nordisk Pasch PU it is very cramped and certainly more of a mountain marathon experience than a relaxed camping experience! But you can get two inside; and if you splashed out on the Pasch Si at 1740g and £210 it would be a useful tent for when low weight is an absolute priority.

Although designed as a one-person tent, the Nordisk Pasch PU can be used by two if weight is a priority and you are prepared to sleep very close to your mate, but it won’t be everyone’s idea of comfortable camping.
