Robens Down Lite 700 (2012)

Robens’ wide range of kit includes this very competitively priced down bag with a temperature rating of -9 deg C. Down insulation is more efficient than synthetic, which is why the Robens Down Lite 700  is lighter than similar-priced synthetic bags. The side zip extends to 30cm from the foot, so you can keep your feet warm while venting your legs. The zip has a wide anti-snag strip, and a draught baffle to keep the cold at bay. The bag does not feel as packed with insulation as some others; but it has elastic stitching, so it hugs your body closer than other bags without restricting movement – and thus it does feel warm. There is a reasonable shoulder baffle and a deep hood. Pricier bags have better features, but with the Robens Down Lite 700 you are getting the benefits of down at a great price.
