This soft shell jacket from Keela fits well in the body, but it’s hard to fasten the collar properly with the hood rolled away. The inner fabric is soft and comfortable, and the drawcord hem works well when needed. It’s impressive in really bad weather, with a small but useful hood and taped seams. However, despite having pit zips and venting pockets, it’s a little warm, and also quite heavy.
Verdict: The Lutian excels in bad weather and is ideal for winter or high mountain walks, where it’s best paired with a lightweight fleece. However, it’s a little too heavy and warm for general year-round use in the UK.
