Peter Storm Skiddaw II

A roomy but very comfortable boot with traditional good looks and it will do a fine job if you do most of your walking at lower levels or on good paths. Higher up the mountain it is challenged by a lack of midsole stiffness that means your foot will feel every uneven step or sharp rock. It’s a light boot, which is a definite bonus, and it remained waterproof throughout the test, although the ankle cuff is quite low so it doesn’t take very long for wet grass to overpower it. Good value for easy going.
