Smart-looking shoes with comfortable, soft suede and mesh uppers – they’re narrower at the toe than some, though. They lace easily to give good support and stability across the whole foot. There’s enough midsole stiffness to provide support on fairly rugged terrain, but they flex enough to be easy to walk in. The chunky sole offers good shock absorption, and decent lugs on the sole provide good grip on both hard and soft ground. There’s a Gore-Tex lining and gusseted tongue to keep your feet dry, and not too much padding, which will help your feet stay cool in warm weather. They have a decent heel counter but no reinforcement at the toe.
