Narrow sizing make these a great choice for women with low-volume feet. The ankle cuff is medium height, providing enough support for a fair degree of uneven terrain, with the added benefit of not feeling too hot in warm weather. The lacing system is good, allowing a secure fit across the foot. They’re lovely to walk in, with a nice rolling action at the toe and a chunky heel for good shock absorption. The sole has a fairly low-key tread pattern, meaning it sticks brilliantly to rock, but tends to clog up when walking on very muddy ground. There’s a Gore-Tex lining to keep your feet dry, and plenty of mesh in the upper allows for good breathability on warm days. A stiff midsole spurs you forward, and offers good support on even terrain.
