The Lookas is a stylish and practical sandal. The strap system offers a little extra protection than some others. There’s also a lip around the toe that helps keep out a little of the grit that can get under the toes when walking. The straps are leather and Velcro with good padding for extra comfort. Underneath the footbed is a well-cushioned design that feels luxurious to walk on. Better still, the sole unit is reasonably supportive and well-cushioned, so these feel very comfortable on a variety of terrain. When it comes to grip, these sandals have a good set of lugs to keep you moving across a grassy campsite. So: lots of style, lots of comfort and lots of support – and also lots of change in your pocket as these are well-priced.
The straps are leather so they’re going to be slower-drying than synthetic alternatives. There are only two adjustment points, compared with three on some other sandals, so the fit may not be as easy to perfect: try before you buy. There’s no antibacterial treatment with these either, unlike higher-priced options.
