Asolo Flame GTX

Well padded at the ankle cuff and tongue, without being over the top, and the speed lacing system is effective and easy to use, producing a stable fit every time. On the heavy side, but easy to move in, and nimble, too. The stiff midsole excels on rougher ground, yet the boots are just as pleasant to wear around local forest trails. Grip is good on most surfaces, but a deeper tread would make them even better.

Verdict: One of the best three-season fabric boots ever made. Will cut it in the Lakes or Snowdonia, yet won’t feel too stiff or heavy on softer/easier terrain.
