For the ultimate in efficiency you can’t beat having a pan set that is specifically designed to optimise performance from a particular stove. The Primus Eta Express has been around for some years and has always benefited from a dedicated pan set. For 2013, the pan set has been further refined to allow it to work even better with the burner. The new design has a wide pan to lower the centre of gravity, so when in use the pan is more stable. The pan also has a heat exchanger on the base with a frame around the outside to protect it from being damaged. The Primus Eta Express’s lid is clear plastic so you can see what’s happening, and it has a rubber grip so you can remove it without burning your fingers. Better still, the windshield has a magnetic strip to hold it in place and this also cradles the pan, to prevent it slipping about. In addition you get a plastic bowl that fits inside the main pan and the whole lot, plus a gas canister, can be packed inside the pan and lid. There is piezo electric ignition too, and you can use standard pans with the burner if you need to. This all adds up to a great one-person cook set.
Includes dedicated pot, windbreak, plastic bowl, lid, stuffsack
Packed size 14x14x11cm

A great makeover for the classic Primus Eta Express, which allows it to be more stable and perform better in the wind, while its price is good for what you get. It won Trail’s ‘Best in Test’ accolade.
