Vango Compass DLX(2014)

Like many Vango products this compass offers exceptionally good value, as while the price is extremely low you are also getting some useful features for navigating across the hills. The base is a reasonable length to allow easy setting of the compass on the map between points, and there are useful 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 map scales for measuring distances. The needle is mounted inside a slightly smaller housing than higher-priced compasses and is not quite so free to move as those with higher price tags either. Also the degree markings are slightly less easy to read. But the Vango Compass DLX still works fine and as long as you don’t need to use it regularly you’ll be more than happy with its performance. But if you pay more you will get better performance and more features.
