This Trail Lite trekking pole from Trekmates has a comfy handle design, but the buckle-free strap keeps coming loose and the stiff anti-shock tends to lock itself into the ‘off’ position. This is one of the heaviest designs on the market, despite its name. Fairly easy to adjust: the three sections stay in place most of the time. They could be a bit longer, ideally, but they’re perfectly adequate.
Verdict: Okay for the average user, but relatively poor value. For a few pounds more there are far better, lighter poles on the market.
