Brunton TruArc 7 (2014)

If you spend most of your time on easier terrain and just need a mirror compass for short sections of moorland walking, you can save some money with this lower-priced option. The Brunton TruArc 7 compass has a large baseplate for easy setting of bearings on the map. There is a large- diameter liquid-filled needle housing with a rubber gripper for easy use. You can also adjust the magnetic declination setting of the compass so you do not have to physically add or subtract it each time you use the compass. The mirror folds out to view the housing. The needle is designed to work throughout the world and there is an inclinometer for measuring angles of slopes. The Brunton TruArc 7 is supplied with a Top Buddy Universal Scale Card that has most of the common metric and imperial map scales on it except for the 1:40,000 scale option.
