The weekend of Friday 7th to Sunday 9th of September saw the 10th annual Black Sheep Boots & Beer walking festival take place in Wensleydale.
Based in the market town of Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales but with walks covering Askrigg, Aysgarth and other parts of the surrounding area, the Boots & Beer festival was a joint venture back in 2002 between The Inn Way guide writer Mark Reid and The Black Sheep Brewery.
Never ones to pass up the combination of great walking and plentiful beer, the Country Walking team have been involved in every event to date, and if this 10th festival was anything to go by, will continue to do so for years to come.
For those of you that were there, you'll know what a fantastic event it is, but if you didn't make it this time, check out our video and photos from Boots & Beer 2011, and be sure to book up for 2012!
