4 THE ISLAND STUNNER – MARSCO

The Isle of Skye is famous for being the home of Britain's most challenging mountains, most contained within the astonishing Black Cuillin ridge. 6 THE CUMBRIAN MONSTER - helvellyn range

A full traverse of the Helvellyn range is one of the biggest linear walks in the Lakes. This one isn't for the faint-legged – it packs nearly 2000 metres of ascent into an 11 hour walk. TOTAL ASCENT: 1830M

7 THE HIGHLAND ICONS - SUILVEN, BEN MORE ASSYNT & QUINAG WEEKEND

If ever you were going to head north for a few days of mountain bagging, you might as well do it properly: this weekend centred around the town of Lochinver in Scotland's mystical far north is an absolute corker.
