Where would LFTOers like to go?

We've heard from the Trail and Country Walking teams - now's your chance to see where LFTOers thought their dream overseas destination would be.

As you can see New Zealand featured aplenty and as a general rule places with few or no people seem to be the most appealing.

You can add to this list by posting your own comments on our Trail forum or our Country Walking forum.

"If i had the money and the time it would have to be New Zealand's North island. Starting somewhere north of Auckland, head east and then south over the chains of volcano's, visiting Rotorua and Taupo, before ending up at Wellington."

"Like many people, I reckon New Zealand would be awesome for walking.  I've travelled quite a bit, but haven't done much serious walking abroad."

"I have long held a fascination for Central Asia, and am falling increasingly under the spell of more remote ranges such as the Altai and the Urals. However, that nagging sensation seems to become more than an itch when my eyes pass over two words: Tien Shan."

"The Drakensberg Mountains, South Africa. l've been fortunate to visit and walk in the Central Drakensberg. After 2.5 days climbing I got altitude sickness and was unable to complete the section i had wished for, it is my dream to go back in 2010."

"It would have to be the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California, including the High Sierra, Yosemite and Mt Whitney areas - especially with a stop-off in Modesto for some wine tasting."

"Of the places I have visited the one I'd most like to go back to is probably north-west Pakistan; chaotic, unregulated and confusing as it is. But probably not just right now at this moment in global history."
