Kinder Scout

'I keep going back for more' by Ford

"Kinder is a fantastic mountain for those of us unable get to the more popular walking areas. Loads of routes up that give a rare sense of wilderness in the Peaks. My favourite is Crowden Clough. ..and every walk should finish with a pint at the Old Nag!"

'Best Lakeland viewing point!' By Butty

"Simply the best compact mountain we have! Such a huge choice of routes catering for a wide range of abilities. Stunning views whatever the weather! Personally I enjoy the Hall's and Dodick Fell ascents. If time's short then Sharp Edge returning via Scales is an exellent quickie!"

Sugar Loaf

Sugar Loaf

'My first Welsh Mountain' by Pen y Fan fan

"A mountain with everything if you want - a stunning experience and back home for breakfast. I agree the narrow side is best, go early on a clear morning with frost on the ground, or in the heat of summer go even earlier, it's perfect!"

Moel Farnau

'New twist to an old walk?' By AderynGlas

"Best walked early or late to avoid the crowds. Instead of parking half way up, people should try parking at Loggerheads country park and making a half day's walk out of it. Suitable for the lesser fit too. Am looking to take up Trail's advice of trying a night time walk in the next few weeks. Should add an interesting twist!"

Ysgyryd Fawr

'Skirrid Fawr' by Steve_T

"A short yet classic walk this one, well worth a couple of hours. Fine views to Sugar Loaf to the east and the Black Mountains."
