Helly Hansen, the 130 year old Norwegian performance apparel brand, wants to ensure that long, cold snowy winters are set to continue for another 130 years.
To help make this a reality, Helly Hansen has launched its new Ekolab range, created to try out new sustainable design and manufacturing processes and help to reduce its impact on the planet.
Consisting of technical jackets and pants, a recycled fleece and a selection of fashionable, organic cotton tees, the new Ekolab collection is the starting point for the brands long term environmental initiative.
Smart engineering has enabled Helly Hansen to eliminate harmful PTFE from the waterproof, breathable membranes in all of its products and to introduce fluorocarbon-free DWR coatings.
Recycled fabrics and minimalist design practices have been incorporated into the range to reduce the need for excess resources.
The mens and womens Ekolab Jacket and Pant have been constructed using waterproof, breathable HellyTech econylon fabrics, and are coloured with environmentally sensitive dyes.
The jackets are durable enough to face the harshest outdoor environments, yet have been designed with a minimalist approach to help reduce the amount of materials and energy resources required to produce the products.
Ekolab is the ultimate collection for outdoor enthusiasts wanting to protect the environment, without compromising on the style or performance associated with Helly Hansen.
