Police appeal after National Park beauty spot vandalised

The popular climbing venue has been left defaced by bright, offensive graffiti

POLICE are appealing for information following the vandalisation of Black Rocks, near Cromford in the Peak District.

Graffiti including obscenities on the popular gritstone climbing venue were discovered by a passer-by, and included obscenities daubed in bright spray paint. Police want anyone who recognises the names, style or tags used to get in touch.   

PCSO Brian Pemberton, of Matlock Bath, Cromford and Bonsall Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We are appealing to the public in the hope that someone may know who is responsible for this damage.

As many as a dozen seperate signs and tags were believed to have been painted on the rocks on or around the 22nd September.
