Four colossal letters have appeared above Pen y Gwryd in North West Wales.
It stands over four metres tall, 11 metres wide and weighs around two tonnes. But why has the word EPIC appeared on a hillside in Snowdonia?
The artwork has been commissioned by Visit Wales as part of its Year of Adventure campaign and is set to tour various locations across the length and breadth of the country over the summer and early autumn. It took four people three weeks to build and require ten people to install it in each location.
Each letter weighs a staggering 350kg and is mirrored to reflect the breath-taking backdrops of some of the countless locations in Wales that embody the word ‘epic’ – something that is heroic, impressive or remarkable.
Visitors are being encouraged to share their images of the letters on social media using the hashtag #FindYourEpic.
