Well-proven to fight condensation and keep the wearer dry from heavy rain, Páramo garments have a broad following for their unique fabric. With this multi-activity jacket you also get extra ventilation from two zipped side vents. Behind these zips you’ll find access to a tunnel handwarmer pocket that is ideal for keeping fingers warm. The design is a smock, which is actually ideal for multi-activity, as it allows space for a huge pocket on the chest that can be easily accessed. The jacket is longer than most with a scooped tail, while being short enough for biking or wearing a climbing harness. The hood can be rolled down or completely removed. The hood has a wired peak, and it fits quite well and moves okay with the head. Reflective piping completes a good features list. But this smock is quite warm compared to conventional waterproofs, so it’s not ideal for summer action, although it is superb for cooler months. It’s also quite heavy at 758g. The hood isn’t quite as good as some in terms of its movement.
