This jacket doesn’t employ any membrane technology to boost waterproofing and breathability and has strong eco-credentials. Of course, that can lead to a sweaty inside in some conditions, although it proved one of the better non-membrane jackets on test and it does have some great side vents. The jacket does have something of an athletic cut to it, with a short torso and longer arms, which may not suit everyone. Usefully, the collar extends up over the face quite well, and really helps to keep the rain out when the wind gets up. The hood is decent enough too, with a wide, reinforced peak that moulds into shape around the face.
