In 1975 Helly Hansen introduced Lifa, the first range of polypropylene performance underwear. This revolutionised comfort when sweating, by moving the moisture from the skin and transporting it to the outer surface of the fabric, where it evaporates. Today the product has developed into the new Helly Hansen Dry range, which benefits from the heritage but performs even better. The fabric provides an excellent loose-fitting style that is very comfortable – thanks to the flatlocked seams, the inherent soft feel and the degree of stretch. There is good length in the sleeves and body to prevent it riding up when scrambling, while the long zip at the neck allows you to vent it when overheating and close it when chilly. But what really sets the Helly Hansen Dry Charger ½ Zip / Dry Dynamic ½ Zip apart is how efficiently it moves moisture through the fabric compared to others. This makes this garment ideal when you are going to really build up a sweat i.e. backpacking in warm weather or battling against a storm in cold weather.
