Columbia Midweight Long Sleeve Top (2012)

Keeping the body warm and dry is a complex problem, and therefore complex solutions may be needed. For Columbia the answer is a combination of Omni-Wick fabric to transport moisture away while Omni-Heat reflective dots on the inside keep heat inside the garment. This combination of technologies gives the Columbia Midweight Long Sleeve Top a close fit that is stretchy and comfortable when hillwalking, and it manages to control condensation well. However when you first put it on it does feel quite cold, and so it is not naturally as warm as others here and I found you need to be working a little harder to encourage the best performance from this garment. The sleeves and body are easily long enough to prevent the sleeves or hem riding up when scrambling. Next to the skin the flatlocked seams are exceptionally comfortable too while the anti-microbial treatment ensures this garment does not get smelly. Such a combination of features makes the Columbia Midweight Long Sleeve Top ideal for high-energy activities when you need your garment to work more efficiently.
