Robens Summer Wind

This single-skin 2-person sub-2kg tent has been developed for use with trekking poles, which results in this shelter weighing in at only 1400g and having a tiny packed size. Pitching is easy as you just peg out the corners and then fit your trekking poles at each end. Large side vents ensure good airflow, while an extended canopy along each side keeps the rain out. The front of the tent has a zipped entrance to the inner living space and this zip has an external stormflap to keep driving rain out. The living space is truly cavernous and would comfortably allow four campers to sit and plan a route, while two could happily sleep inside. But there is no porch, so gear storage and cooking out of the wind and rain is not easy. It’s a single-skin design so condensation can be a problem, although with so much mesh venting down the sides and at the ends feeling chilly may be more of an issue in gusty weather.

Verdict Buy it if you want a superlight shelter for camping in good weather where the drawbacks of the design will be less of an issue.
