The Sanctuary 700 really lives up to its name. If ever a 3-season down sleeping bag made you want to get in and snuggle down safely, this has to be it! The neck baffle is huge, not only protecting against draughts but also adding extra comfort. Unique among the bags tested, the zip extends all the way around the toe box, allowing you to spread the bag out completely or ventilate your feet. The zip does not snag, due to well-proportioned taping along the baffle, and its top finishes with a press stud flap to ensure it won’t catch your skin. This bag is class from top to toe, and in our tests it is much warmer than the maker suggests. But the Sanctuary is not the lightest bag we looked at, and although the stuffsack is well-constructed with fully taped seams and a roll top, it’s not an easy task to stuff it in there. This is not what you need when you’re trying to pack up camp.
