This backpacking rucksack, which comes in men’s and women’s styles, is built around an adjustable Polyflex frame system that allows the shoulder straps to be adjusted sideways for a better fit. There is a huge lumbar pad and hipbelt with good airflow around the rest of the back. This creates a comfortable, well-fitting and stable back system. The body of the ‘sack is the tried and trusted layout of two main compartments, two bellows side pockets, compression straps and wand pockets. The lid can be raised and there is a bellows panel to prevent water creeping into the main compartment. Added bonus features include a front zipped map pocket, rain cover and removable waterproof security pocket that is suspended inside the body of the ‘sack. Generally this is a great ‘sack for backpackers of all types. But at 2900g this is quite a heavy rucksack and there are better models at lower prices too. The only major drawback of the design was that there appeared to be less space for the head when looking up, although this may depend on how the back length of the ‘sack is adjusted too, so try before you buy.
