This daysack from Vaude is initially fairly comfortable, with plenty of padding on the hip belt and shoulder straps and a fairly cool back system. However, the upwards tilt of the hip fins is annoying, as they tend to ride up your waist. It’s a wide, roomy pack that carries the load fairly low on your back, making it feel quite cumbersome. It would benefit from an extra compression strap. The lid also seems rather large for a pack of this size.
Verdict: A spacious rucksack with some useful pockets. Quite pricey, but worth a look for big trips and weekends away. However, check you like the way it feels with a full load before buying.
