The Hyperlite is a very sleek little insulated jacket with a continental feel of individuality about it. There are some seriously light jackets featured in this review, and this is one of them (in fact only the Infinity Light weighs less). Both jackets use Pertex Quantum fabric and Primaloft fill, and both have drawcord hems. That said, the Hyperlite has a few features the Infinity lacks, such as zipped pockets and a lined collar. It comes with a stuffsack (rather than packing into a pocket), and stretch side panels under the arms help improve comfort and breathability. Finally there’s a women’s-specific option that has a better cut than many. But the price tag suggests high standards, but you are not getting much for your money. It would have perhaps been better to lose the stuffsack in favour of a stow pocket and add a collar cinch.
