At £100 and 442g this insulated jacket competes with a number of similar garments and there is very little to choose between them all. The Buzz uses Primaloft insulation, like many others. The shell feels very soft to the touch, making it ideal for casual as well as hill use. The jacket stuffs into the chest pocket, which saves having stuffsack (which weighs extra and can be lost). Unusually, you get Powerstretch under the armpits (this harms breathability in that area but improves articulation of the sleeves). The elasticated cuffs are also very comfy. A hem drawcord keeps the draughts out. There is an internal map-sized zipped pocket plus two map-sized zipped hip pockets, and the whole bundle feels comfortable to wear. This is a great lightweight insulating layer to be used year-round as a back-up layer when walking or camping. But There is no collar adjustment, no cuff adjustment and no fleece lining in the collar, no hood and no reinforced areas. So this is a basic design that provides a little extra warmth when you need it on the hill.
