This popular fleece mid layer is now made from recycled Polartec Thermal Pro 200 weight fabric, so it gains the ethical edge over most other jackets that offer the same basic style and features. The material is made from recycled plastic bottles and industrial polyester waste. The 200 weight fleece is quite warm. You get a fairly standard design of two hip pockets, one chest pocket and a hem drawcord adjustment to keep draughts out. Use this for general walking as well as general use and it will keep you warm as well as reduce the carbon footprint of your outdoor wardrobe. But the only real advantage of this fleece is the recycled fleece as in other departments it is just like many other less-than-ideal mountain fleeces. It is a little heavy, and the hip pocket access is easily obscured by rucksack belts.

Verdict: Buy it if you want a fleece made from recycled fabrics, but other garments are better-featured for the more serious hill-goer.
