Teva Open Toachi 2010

The Teva Open Toachi Leather won ‘Best in Test’ in 2009. This synthetic version is lower in price and faster-drying, so in my view it’s a better product for campers and hill-goers. It is based on the well-proven Wraptor series that has won these reviews in the past, thanks to the excellent sole unit. So you get a wonderful easy rolling action from the precurved sole plus reasonable grip and a good level of cushioning and stiffness. The result is a wonderful ride on every step when walking on hard or soft surfaces. There is also a Drain Frame in the sole that allow water to escape and increases breathability to the sole of the foot. The straps are synthetic with good padding on the inside. The footbed is a Microban design that fights off bacterial growth. A great design for general outdoor use at a good price. But you can get sandals with more protection to the toe or the sides of the feet. There are lighter sandals too. But not a lot wrong here unless you just prefer paying less for a pair of sandals.

The Teva Open Toachi is a superb sandal in every way, and ideal for a wide variety of walking, travelling and camping situations.  It won ‘Best in Test’.
