This lightweight multi-activity shoe from Peter Storm weighs 956g (pair, size 9). It has a waterproof-lined suede leather and mesh upper, rubber toe bumper for durability and a very stiff sole that’s ideal for rocky ground. There’s a reasonable lug pattern on the outsole, providing a good grip on mud and grass and represents superb value for money. However, spending more you can buy a more breathable shoe with a waterproof lining, more cushioning and comfort, plus better scrambling performance.
Verdict: Excellent for the money, and better than some pricier options for walking, travel and general use.
