The Keen Targhee is a mid-cut boot with a very breathable upper, making it ideal for summer walks. The rubber toe bumper is ideal for extra protection and there is a waterproof lining. Better still the wide forefoot is ideal for broader feet and allows young toes to develop without restriction. But many others have more aggressive lugs for grip and also a stiffer sole for rocky ground and these two features mean this boot is best kept to easier paths rather than anything more rocky, wet or muddy.

The Keen Targhee is a good boot with a wide forefoot and good rubber toe protection, but its sole unit limits performance.
