This is a synthetic sandal, making it ideal for use in water as the materials will be fast-drying. Also there’s a three-point adjustment on the straps, so you should be able to find a good fit. The straps are synthetic and well-padded, and they also provide good protection to the sides of the feet. Two straps are Velcro but the third has a quick-release buckle as well, so you can fit these sandals rapidly without having to readjust them. The sole has a useful lip around the edge, to help keep out the grit and protect the foot. The outsole is a stiff and grippy design, making it ideal for a variety of terrain. All that functionality for £30 is a bargain.
There’s no antibacterial treatment offered here, so these may become a little more pongy than some other options. Other sandals are lighter and some offer a little more cushioning and a smoother walking action – if you’re prepared to pay double the price.
