This is a relatively low-priced trail-running shoe with excellent performance. The upper is mesh for breathability, with synthetic overlays for durability, making it a good choice for general off-road use. The heel offers good support and there’s reasonable protection around the toe for rough ground. Underfoot you get a good level of cushioning and support under the arch. The sole unit is torsionally stiff so your feet aren’t having to work too hard, but you get a good flex in the toe for running. The sole lug pattern is aggressive enough to provide traction off-road on reasonably level terrain and forest tracks. For £60 this a good off-road shoe for easier runs.
The outsole is not the best for muddy terrain or descending steep slopes where maximum grip is needed. Also these shoes are a little heavier than most, so they’re not ideal for those wanting speed or ultimate dexterity on uneven terrain.

Verdict: A good, low-priced option if you want a shoe for on- and off-road action but don’t need the ultimate in performance when the going gets muddy and steep.
