The Brasher ASO GTX is a well-padded, broad-fitting boot that feels great from the box. Careful lacing provides comfy downhill performance with no toe banging, while a high ankle cuff ensures plenty of security on steeper slopes.
This boot is quite heavy, but still great to walk in and supportive. It’s the business without a crampon, especially if you have broader feet, but the fabric/suede upper means that crampon straps needs careful adjustment to be comfy.

Verdict: Brasher’s first foray above the snowline has produced an excellent high-mountain boot that performs well with or without crampons. Superb value for money, too.
