These are a sturdy set of anti-shock poles. In use there isn’t too much wobble under load, even on harder ground. While the anti-shock suspension offers some relief on stone and road, it’s not the softest and there is a fair bit of ‘clack’. The twist-lock sections work well enough, although over time, the smooth aluminium used can slip, particularly if the poles get wet. Up at the business end, things are good with some great handgrips. A comfortable cork upper, with extra groove to boost the grip, is excellent over prolonged use. Uphill sections are really helped with the hard sponge grips extending down the shafts. The straps are pretty good too, with a medium width and smooth linings to prevent chafing and draw away moisture.
