Freshly dispatched from our man in the Alps are these pictures of two new models of footwear set to be release by top-end Canadian brand Arc'teryx in 2015.
First impressions are the Alpha Shoe and Bora Mid Boot are packing all the snazzy-but-understated cred you would expect from one of the world's most coveted brands. However immediately some potentially exciting new features suggest surprisingly, given the well-established competition that the brand are entering the footwear arena with some serious technical innovations.
Featuring rounded heels for more contact with ground and better braking and an inner booty for supposedly perfect fit, note the welded seams and lack of stitching of any kind on the upper, which in theory should ensure excellent waterproofing and a reduction in weight even without the optional Gore-Tex lining.
Arc'teryx's close relationship with Gore will ensure they are packing the latest version of the membrane, and as this new range will have a facet aimed at every level of user, get set for seeing them out and about in the UK hills from Spring next year. Look out for the First Test in Trail Magazine before then!
