Wild swimming's all the rage this year but we think this spot - at the very lip of the world's largest waterfall - pushes the idea too close to the edge - literally! Doesn't stop these guys jumping in... Shoot home movies of your hill-walk? Check out the Homemade Mountain Movie Awards. You could win a trip to Everest Base Camp!
Situated between Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls towers twice as high as Niagara at 360ft high, stretches a mile wide and is known in the local tongue as Mosi-oa-Tunya, 'the smoke that thunders'. Its plume can rise higher than Kinder Scout. This hideous wild swimming spot, called 'The Devil's Swimming Pool', lies right at the falls' lip and is only accessible a couple of months a year when the flow is just right. Swimmers are protected by a slim balustrade of rock that prevents the current doing what comes naturally and sweeping them over the edge to their doom. Could you overcome your instincts and take the plunge? The video below shows some more context of how you get to the pool, but can offer no more reassurance about its hairy nature...
