The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is asking walkers to help them manage the network of paths in the Three Peaks by completing a short survey about walking in the area.
The Three Peaks Project was announced in April 2009 and aims to ensure that the area is maintained and improved in the long term by:
• generating a sustainable income to help pay for its management
• creating new opportunities for businesses, groups and visitors
• promoting understanding of the area’s special qualities
• encouraging people to help look after the area
Completing the survey will help the project plan how they maintain the network of paths in the Three Peaks so that walkers can return and enjoy the area again and again. What's more, do it by 31st October 2011 and you could win one year's free Friends of the Three Peaks membership and exclusive merchandise.
